Oh, and the humidity never gets below 80% unless the shop temp is 130°?

79?!?!?! In a home?!?!?

Yup. Yeah know how old people are about feeling cold due to slowing metabolism? If it's 75°F in the house, my wife insists she needs to wear a heavy coat indoors to stay warm (always complaining about how cold it is in restaurants and doctor's offices ). And ya know what Arizonan's say about our dry heat . . . like, 90° feels like 80° and so forth. Then there's the thing when your body acclimate to high temperatures, cooler temperatures like 68°F feels really cold.


Though when I'm really active doing housework, I do need to turn down the thermostat a couple degrees as 79°F is too warm to be active in . . . or even to sleep in. Since that temperature is too warm for me to comfortably sleep in but just right for the wife, a high tech bed that cools my side of the bed an keeps her side warm makes it all good.

110 today here. A little cooler than last few days. Was at 113. I have never liked summers here in AZ, but ive never lived anywhere else. Looking forward to November when it starts to cool down.

I have two sons and 4 grandkids in AZ worked in 126f. once when I lived there. went weeks when it never got below 100 day and night not for me

We have a saying here for the winter visitors.

If you can't handle the summers you don't deserve the winters. Our winters are as good as it gets and the summers test our mettle. Lol

29°C/84°F and 88% humidity here in sunny England. That's improved on what it has been. Of course the media think it's the end of the world.

We're basically back to the 1970's summers I remember as a child. The biggest issue we get is, it doesn't stay warm enough, for long enough to dry out, and the humidity remains high. I think there's a couple of generations that haven't seen brown grass!

Really, not been that bad here in Central Kentucky. Just typical Summer weather with timely rains. Our highest temp, has been 91* with Humidity being < 35%, on average.

Upper 80's to low 90's in Central Illinois. The humidity SUCKS! Every day I come home from work(auto tech) soaking wet. I used to loathe winter entirely, now, not so much. Must be getting soft in my advanced age of 49!

Yes, I worked in a plastic factory in Louisiana for four years when I was in my early twenties. It was bad, really bad.

I grew up in North Louisiana and I’ve lived in Central Florida, South West PA, and Central Ohio. It doesn’t even really get hot for me in PA or Ohio, but the winter sure puts the hurt on this southern boy.

I don’t think there is anything worse than the humidity in the Bayou country. I also grew up there.

Here in the Houston area, we are in to our usual summer where it’s 98 degrees and 98% humidity.

I’m getting ready to head out to a Shipyard in about an hour to look at a vessel. By 10:00 in the morning, the deck will already be hot enough to where you don’t want to touch it.

I have been living and working in this for 60 years, so I guess it’s no big deal.

I was operating an asphalt paver back in 1993 & kept a thermometer clipped to the seat beside me, one very hot & hazy day I looked at the thermometer & it read 137!
showed it to the foreman & we quit for the day!!!
Oh, did I mention the smoke & the smell????

I quit looking and listening to the weather. Someone let it slip back 30 years ago that the tourist industry in South Florida will not allow the true temp to be broadcast. We used to have a thermometer in the gang box, what it said and what was broadcast was always 6 to 10 degrees different.
