How far to start?

Hey guys, finalyl getting close to working up ammo for my Rem 243 win, gonna start with Lapua cases, varget, and sierra 70 grn blitzkings.

I need to know about how much I should start for a gap off the lands, I can't jam in this rifle, as the throat is long. Is .030 to much? I have never worked with a bliztking so I have no idea where to even begin.

Thank you

Case prep and components being equal,I would load five rounds each at .030,.020,010 and touching the lands,if you can get there. With the best group,I would go +/- .005 from there.Once the best is determined, change the powder +/- .2-3 gr.Just changing seating depth can change group size 1/2MOA.

Start at the longest OAL allowed by the magazine, and work from there.

All my Rem. Rifles have long throats, Unless you have a custom barrel you will have to seat mag length unless you are going to single load. The Rem. all shoot real good with everything seated magazine length. Good luck
