How do you measure scope height

What is an accurate methode to use to measure the height of the scope above the centerline of the bore. The scope is already mounted. Thanks

Measure the diameter of the scope with the crosshairs or whatever centered, and then measure the diameter of the barrel, and the distance between the scope and the barrel.. and do the math...

I really dont have an accurate way to measure the distance between the scope and the barrel. The only precision measuring devise I have is a set of dial calipers and they dont really fit under the scope tube very easy. I was wondering is it possible to get the measurment by measuring from the bottom of the objective end of the scope it's a 40mm. And then measure top of the barrel. The scope tube is 1" the barrel is 1.300 and the action is 1.330. In diameter. Thanks

Just use playing cards under the scope bell to get that measurement, that will put you close enough..

Use the bottom of the calipers to measure from the top of the very front of the scope straight down to the top of the barrel. Measure the diameter of the scope at the same point, and the barrel at the point that you measured down to.
Start with the top of scope down measurement, subtract half of the objective diameter,and add half of the barrel diameter. What could be easier?
