How do the vortex viper 6.5-20x50 track?

Ive googled quite a bit and done the search on this site and several others. Ive only read good things about pretty much all of the vortex offerings but Im really curious about the tracking on this particular model. From what Ive learned you really do need to spend 1000 plus to get a good tracking scope. So has anyone really put one of these through a good test of repeated adjustments from various ranges? Im looking to sign up for a 2 day sniper course that does a lot of reticle based range estimation so return to zero and true clicks is an absolute must.

Spend $1000 to get a reliable tracking scope? Sounds like the typical range talk B.S. My cheap Weaver T-24's (3) and one T-36 track every bit as reliably as my Nightforce benchrest and the new Competition scopes.

Glass is what you would expect in the less costly Weavers & their warranty coverage leaves a bit to be desired, but mechanically I find them to be some of the best.

its funny you mention the t36 and nightforce. I have the t36 and a nightforce 8-32 benchrest and both track excellent. however. I can't say that my vxiii 6.5-20x50 tracks as good. I haven't actually done a box test with it but when sighting it in it didn't seem as true as the other two. I'm really close to jumping on this vortex viper but hesitant since its not what you read about everywhere.

Go over on snipers hide you'll find lots info there on any scope your heart desires.
Now for me if a scope won't stay together being shot from my 50 BMG it isn't a good scope and I've had 2 weavers on top and both scopes came apart internally along with Leupold mark 4.
