How do I setup a Forster Ultra micrometer seating die (.223)

I just purchased a Forster Ultra Micrometer seating die. I would like a little help, beyond the instructions provided and the single you tube video I found. Does anyone use this die? I would like to use it for more than one rifle, so I want to use the micrometer scale as much as possible for repeatability when switching between rounds for my rifles. Should I attempt to get the die set for the micrometer to be zeroed at any point?

If you use it for one bullet, you can "zero" the mic for that bullet and the OAL it produces - but if you use more than one bullet, then it is pointless - just write downn the seting so you can go back to them.

I use one of this style for my .308 loading. Rather than Zero, I merely recorded the setting for 175 SMK's which I load the most. I then have a chart of + and - adjustments for when I change to a different bullet. When done with any given "run" I then return to the base setting for the 175 gr SMK'.

As CatShooter said, if you only use one bullet don't bother and just use the micrometer for the fine adjustments that might be necessary due to differing neck tension from case batch to batch, which can yield variations in seating depth.

you screw it in and then use the micrometer to adjust the depth? Save a piece of unprimed sized brass to test seating.

I don't recall off the top of my head how deep you screw it into your press but the instructions are pretty clear.

I "Color Code" my settings along with writing them down in the die settings card. Simply use a pin or toothpick and "mark" settings (both horizontal- vertical hash marks) for a particular bullet, then do the same (different color) for each additional bullet. I've have mine set up for 155 A-Maxs "red", 155.5 Bergers"yellow" and 185 bergers "blue". Does it make a difference maybe not ,but it's a GOOD reminder if nothing else.
