How do I remove the firing pin spring on a Nesika Model K?

Call chad at long rifles. There were a few different designs and it was just discussed over on benchrest central on another nesika. Or you could just send your bolt to your gunsmith and let him handle it. He will have the correct tools to get it done

Thanks dusty, I left chad a message, we'll see what he says. I did go over to benchrest central and read the thread you mentioned. Mine does have a setscrew in the cocking piece. If I am interpreting the benchrest central thread correctly, I need to loosen that setscrew, then unthread the firing pin. Is that correct? Is the pin going to launch at me when the threads disengage from the cocking piece?

Ok, will do. Now I am told by another source that I need to measure firing pin travel before I remove it, so that when I reassemble it, it is in the same location. What is the best way of going about this?
