How can I find out what model M1A I have? Serial # 076909. I looked on the SA web site and didnt find a way to look up the details?
I was told it was a National Match years ago but I am pretty sure this is not correct since the barrel is blued. Thanks PG

Your stock appears to be a NM by fore-end contour & grip contour.
The rear sight is NM/hooded.
Is the front sight stamped NM?
Is the OP rod marked(NM)?
Pre ban-has bayonet lug.
Is the flash hider reamed(.401" diameter) to NM specs?

Is it glass bedded under the trigger guard and the rails under the reciever? If so it may be the real thing.

Yes front site is stamped NM!
I do not see NM on the OP rod will it have to be taken apart to see? Or should be visible?

A few years back I picked up a smoking deal on an early model M1A Super Match in McMillan Stock. I had a few questions about the gun, called SAI, gave them the serial # and they gave me all the specifics.

Give them a call and they will let you know exactly how your gun left the factory.
