It appears that across the board and several lots that my Hornady cases have about .5 to 1 gr more powder capacity with powder like h4831sc. My Hornady brass is also more consistent in weight and size as well as a lot better QC. It's right behind my Norma brass in that regard. I think I'm going to start sorting brass based off of case capacity, has anyone figured out a fast way of doing this? Best I can think of is filling to the brim on a case, then dump it into the next with the brass in a tub to catch any powder that might drop out and just sort that way. I loaded a bunch of nosler btip and matchkings up recently and didn't realize I mixed up some brass and realized it when I did a shake and listen test. I suspect that I'm going to get some bad SD and probably accuracy if one round has an audible shake to it and another with the same exact charge weight is packed tight which would probably null my testing...
Second question... would there be any benefit to using 30-06 lapua brass? I suspect that after firing once or twice and FL sizing that it would stretch to size. I can't see a reason to do it but would like to hear arguments.
