Hornady steel case 223 ammo

My cuz bought a new AR in 223, and I was interested in your knowledge of Hornady steel case ammo. It's a lot cheaper, but is it accurate? Barlow

Don't know about accuracy. My concern is with accelerated wear on the chamber and feed ramp on a semi-auto.

Not sure about 223 ammo but a friend shoots the 308 stuff because he does not reload and shoots very good for the price.

+1. The other factor is inspecting each casing before and after resizing for degradation and splits. My experiences are they don't last or hold up as well as brass, but while they do, they shoot just fine.

He is going to use factory ammo in this rifle. Sound like they would be fine for his purpose. Thanks, Barlow
