Hornady powder measure

So I have a hornady measure. And the clear hopper tube has come very loose. If noticed the top part the cast housing it self is threaded. Why ? And is there any better hopper than the one you can get from hornady as a replacement ?

I have an older Hornady powder measure that has plastic rivets holding the loose plastic tube on
It's been that way 25 years
The measure throws consistently so loose does not bother me

Plastic water bottle.....cut the ends off, top & bottom. Take the hopper off the measure. Slide one end of the plastic bottle over the measure far enough passed the slope/funnel shape of the measure about 1-2". Slide the hopper through the opening of the bottle & into the measure. Use a hair dryer to heat the plastic bottle & it'll shrink tight against the measure & the hopper...slow & easy on the heat...it'll also shrink the hopper if you're not carful.

Might try that..... I would call hornady ,but not enough time in my day . Sucks working 12 hour days
