Hornady or Forster lock-rings in a Forster Co-Ax?

I just unpacked my press and hope to get my bench put together this weekend.
I have a mix of dies from RCBS, Forster and Redding but seem to read conflicting reports on which lock rings work best.

I have a Co-Ax and use Sinclair rings. They are stainless and fit the press well. When you buy them in 3-packs, they are $5, each.

I think most of the cross bolt lock rings will work fine. I have a few from Sinclair, a few Forster cross bolt rings, and a set of Hornady on my Hornady dies, and all seem to work great. The Hornady's may not be the best for your uses, as they have a flat milled from the sides and might not work as well as the Forster or Sinclair with the Co-Ax press.

Anyway, the Forster cross bolt and Sinclair rings are nearly identical and operate in much the same manner. But they should be the Forster cross bolts, not the solid rings with set-screw. ;)

I HAVE A FORSTER CO-AX PRESS. USE ONLY THE FORSTER LOCK RINGS. THEY WERE DESIGNED AND ENGINEERED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE SLOT IN THAT PRESS. THE FIT IS PERFECT! KEEP THE LOCKING BOLT AND NUT ON THE LOCKING RING FACING OUTWARD, THAT IS, FACING YOU.

I like the Sinclair crossbolt aluminum lock ring instead of the Forster steel ring...I swap the dies in and out of my Co ax a bunch and would rather have the aluminum wear a bit than the press...just my weird thoughts...

Hornady die lock rings work just fine in Forster Co-Ax presses, when I buy none bushing dies, or handgun dies I always buy Hornady so I don't need to get lockrings, but the Sinclair lockrings are awsome compared to Forsters and all my bushing dies now have them.

I like the Sinclair rings as they are Stainless Steel unlike the Forster which are aluminum. I tried using the Hornady rings but the two flats on the rings did not give me a warm fuzzy.

Just my 2 cents

Another vote for the Sinclair SS lock rings. I've ordered 5 or 6 3-packs in the last few months. They are outstanding compared to anything else. Although, 1 was missing the screw ::).
