A fired case than is neck sized only.justinp61 said:Does anyone know what size and thread pitch they are? I have one ordered and was going to drill and tap the case. Would it be better to use a as fired case or a resized case, will it matter?
Thanks

If you size the neck, you will need to expand till you are able to insert a bullet smoothly by hand. Most expanders don't expand enough to allow slip fit on the bullet. A custom expander is almost needed.
If you use a fired case, make sure it fits in the chamber easily.
I've tapped about 100 cases of so in various cases, smallest being 20 vartarg and never had this happen.jlow said:One thing to be aware of is when you tap that case, it will tend to expand the head... So make sure that case still slides easily in and out of your chamber after tapping...

I haven't done 100 but done quite a few. Never had this happen either. Possibly wrong drill size (small) could cause it.ridgeway said:I've tapped about 100 cases of so in various cases, smallest being 20 vartarg and never had this happen.jlow said:One thing to be aware of is when you tap that case, it will tend to expand the head...
