Anybody know if typically the Hornady ELD-X bullet likes to be jammed or more clear of the lands ?
Like I have found and in particular with the 200 grain ELDX in a .300 Win Mag. .013 away from the lands, most others except the VLD's, .010 " off.Anybody know if typically the Hornady ELD-X bullet likes to be jammed or more clear of the lands ?
Cal Zant (PrecisionRifleBlog.com) just finished a series of 3 or 4 articles regarding bullet jump that revealed some eye opening data that seemed to possibly buck some long held beliefs about bullet jump...great reading! Outlines some great ideas to help one to quickly verify a forgiving node for seating depths on specific bullets. You might find it very informative, as I did.
I would say, like so many variables and from the answers given, that your rifle will tell you how it likes them, jammed or off.
