Hornady ELD-X

Anybody know if typically the Hornady ELD-X bullet likes to be jammed or more clear of the lands ?

The consensus is quite a bit of jump!
I've been in a few long discussions about this bullet. What else is they don't like excessive velocity. Guys who've had precision were way below 3000.
Soooo, being the velocity hog that I am...I'm out.
I've tried like all hell in multiple barrels and cartridges.
FWIW, I did have good results with Eld-match on whitetail.

Cal Zant (PrecisionRifleBlog.com) just finished a series of 3 or 4 articles regarding bullet jump that revealed some eye opening data that seemed to possibly buck some long held beliefs about bullet jump...great reading! Outlines some great ideas to help one to quickly verify a forgiving node for seating depths on specific bullets. You might find it very informative, as I did.

Are you able to post a link? Sounds like it'd be an interesting read.

Edit: Are these the articles you mention?https://precisionrifleblog.com/2020/04/28/bullet-jump-research-and-load-development-tips/

Just watched his video on measuring distance to lands. He uses basically the same method I use, but get beat up mercilessly on here every time I post it.

I shoot 200 gr ELD-X's out of my 300 Win Mag. They like quite a bit of jump out of my rifle. .112" jump and c.o.a.l is 3.505"
2970 fps and I shoot them into a ragged hole at 200 yards. Most accurate bullet I've ever shot.

I'm using the 212gr ELDx in my 30 Nosler at 2950 with a 0.100" jump. Shoots 0.3" at 100yds with H1000.

Ive run the 162 eldx in my 280 ai(3058 fps from a 26 inch barrel) since hornady introduced them. Extremely accurate. Kills game dead. Never yet needed more then 1 shot and ive?shot everything from prarie dogs to moose from 25 yrds 700 yrds
