5 bucks a box more for a "heat shield tip". Screw that. I've still got about 600 amax sitting. Think once I burn them up I'm in for a barrel change and look at the 183s
Ya! Much as I p**s and moan about Hornady's marketing technique, when my A-MAXes are gone, I'll try the new ones too!
My results with the 162 A-MAX as well as the 105 A-MAX in my 6BRX are the same as Jerry Tierney's results. They did as well for me as both the 180 Hybrid and the 105 Hybrid. And, I would not be surprised if, once the pipeline is full, the street price may drop to A-MAX levels. That is especially true with the Sierra plastic tipped bullets coming out in dribs and drabs.

They out shoot most bullets twice that price in most of my guns. Midway isn't the best place to purchase anything when your looking to save a buck. Hornady in any bullet pretty much is the cheapest bullet out there and shoots with the best of them
