Hornady Auto Charge

Had mine since it first came out. Guessing in the 15,000+ loads made with it. Just praised it in another post and last night the screen readout started getting dim and then flashing.

Contacted Hornady this morning. Long out of warranty, it would need fixed. Talked to a rep, Doug, at Hornady. They do NOT fix them.

Read where others have had them replaced. Assume that's what they do if there are warranty issues. There's no repair.

Obviously I will buy another electronic scale. Not sure what brand. Anyone know if any of the popular brands are being repaired or is it all just a "throw-away" and replacement?

They replaced my first one after about 2 1/2 years but balked when the second one took a dump after 6 months. Mine is just a big red paper weight now. I use my RCBS 505 scale for precision loads. Don't think I'll ever go back to electronic.

RCBS 1500 combo, don't think about it, just order one asap. When you get it you'll love it, and you'll kick yourself in the ass for not getting it sooner.
