Hornady 6mmBR Rem Match Grade Die Set

Does anyone have any experience with these dies? https://www.brownells.com/reloading...-remington-match-grade-die-set-prod99071.aspx

They are listed as FL bushing resizing dies and and In-line Bullet Seating Die with Micro-just Seating Micrometer with standard and ELD seating stems. A few sites have these listed for around $80. I understand the Redding S dies set ($180) is better and the Harrels sizing die is the best. Just looking for an option at a reasonable price.

I bought the same set this past winter. All I used previously was the Redding type s neck die. I do like the Hornady set well enough, plus the hornady seems to be a great match to my chamber too.

I don't have a Hornady 6BR die set but have a set in 6BRA in the neck bushing and micrometer seater die. I'm very happy with them. I have similar sets in .300PRC, .223 Rem., 6CM, 6.5CM etc...

I didn't know that Hornady made Dasher or 6BRA dies. Were those a custom order?

I’ll have to go look and see if my dies have a p/n on the box or not. That will tell me.

Either way if you have a reamer drawing you can send them your drawing and they will make you a set of dies for you. I’ve had another custom set made before by Hornady and by a custom die maker. I cannot find fault in either one and how they size etc....

I have them in 6 Dasher and they were made in the custom shop by Lonnie Hummel (before he retired). He told me that I could get it with bushing or with the neck honed to a specified diameter. I chose the bushing die and it is an excellent die. I use a Wilson for seating rather than the Hornady. Good shooting....James

Redding is over rated and over priced in my opinion. Customer service is also slipping compared to ten yrs ago. Getting to big for their britches. Just my personal opinion. Many better and much more economical choices out there today. Competition is good for the consumer. Carry on. :D:D

Wilson F/L bushing type dies are high quality for a good price at Brunos
