Hornady 208 hpbt for 308

I have been thinking about shooting these for some time. Since my 10 twist new f/tr rilfle Is being built I got some. I have always used the ber 185 but hope the Hornady 208 will work as it is alot cheaper .Anyone use the 208 in comp f/tr ?

i used them in my F std rifle with 41 of 08, very accurate but the recoil killed me

the 208 are a good bullet, extra weight really helps in the wind. if you can keep the ES in the 25FPS window it will hold a 1 MOA vertical. But you can play with JBM to see how your environment will effect how narrow or wide FPS range you can go at your local range. But its a good bullet recoil is a bit much but you can also use a recoil pad to help. Along with a rifle around 17 lbs its not too terrible but your body position is critical. If you can adjust your butt plate left or right i would play with that.
