Hornady 208 a,max vs 208 hpbt 308

Thinking about trying these 2 bullets in my 32" 11.25 savage 308. Any input on these or load data? I will be shooting f/tr. I am shooting the berger 185 bt now but looking for a different load thanks.

I have asked this question already and since i am on my Sandbox vacation i cant verify any actual performance yet but the load that most guys running RL-17 and Varget. With your 32" barrel i would stick with the Varget, since it will be temperature insensitive. You will be able to achieve 1.2 mach at 1k with ease, and save some brass and barrel life since you wont need a very stout charge since you have a much longer barrel than most

I am using the bhpt in my 1/10 twist 300WM with RE17 and have gotten 1 hole groups at 100yds, 3/4" at 300yds and under 1 1/2" at 600 when all conditions ar right. Problem is I can't do it consistantly and trying to sort this out right now.
