Wondering if this would be of any interest.
For those that may have adjustable target placement by cable/rope and a pulley system, would knowing the distance from the shooting position and being able to set it anywhere you want - be of any interest?
I came up with this concept for a local indoor range in case they got tired of fixing/maintaining their Meggitt system. It uses a small rotary encoder, a 4 digit 7 segment display to show distance in yards (max 99.9, 1 decimal place) or feet (max 300, no decimal place). The first digit reserved for units (F or Y). I need to add ability to calibrate but don’t want to spend the time if there was no interest.
It could be operated by AC (with a wall wart) or a battery (not sure what type at this point).
I suspect it could be housed in a 2” x 3” x 1” (approximately) 3d printed box.
