If you go to the Actions page on our website, you will see the various lengths/bolt face sizes we currently have in stock. All actions are stainless except for the short actions with small (223) bolt face, which only come in blued finish.

I just met these guys at our local gun show, and just want to say that the "lack of contact" may have to do with them being busy from that.

Hey folks,

First, we'd like to apologize for the difficulties some of you have had in getting ahold of us recently. We had a big gun show to prepare for this this last weekend which took a considerable amount of work, in addition to pushing extremely long days getting our customers' builds moved down the line.

Second, though it may not seem like it we really do appreciate each and every one of you who has tried to get in touch with us and I can assure you we are working our way to getting back to you. We try to answer every phone call that comes in but when we're on the phone with another customer and three more calls come in, it doesn't always work out that way. Then we call one of the missed calls back and two more come in while we're on with them! It starts to add up and we still have a LOT of projects to get to in the middle of it all. And the emails are just as full! We are happy to be getting so much interest and we're constantly discussing ways to make customer contact more efficient. I wish we were big enough to have a call center with a bunch of expert gunsmiths waiting to answer all of your calls, but the fact is we're just a couple of guys that love to make guns and components for people making their own.

I can assure you that we will get back to you all and apologize again that we haven't gotten to you sooner. Thank you for any patience you may have left for us and Happy Holidays!

I got a stainless action from them a couple of yrs ago, these guys didn't just pop in this month.

UPDATE: I was finally able to get in touch with them last week and after speaking with Mason I ordered one of their actions. I will say that the explanation of the big show/small company appears to be correct as they have been very attentive since then. I got an email on Friday from FedEx that my shipment was on the way and Mason contacted me on Saturday to make sure that I had received my tracking number. My action will be here on Wednesday and I will report back.

I agree with XTR. Their work is outstanding. Evan was very helpful. My gunsmith, a very particular old school type, was impressed with the machine work on the magnum action I purchased. It takes a little patience but the turn around time, price and quality are well worth it.

UPDATE:

I received my action Thursday and finally today I had time to put it up on the surface plate and check it out. I made a standoff to locate off the integral recoil lug inside the action and rotating the receiver on this standoff using a .0005 InterRapid indicator showed .0004 TIR on the receiver face.

I then clamped the bolt in a precision v-block vertically to check squareness of the bolt lugs. These measured .0005 TIR between them.

Now the downside. There is absolutely no primary extraction anymore. The gap between the bolt handle and the receiver I measured at .037 with a feeler gauge. Now I realize timing of the bolt was not included but one may want to inquire if they perform this service as well.

Overall I am happy with my purchase as it is a good deal in my opinion. The bolt timing is not their fault as I did not inquire and it was not included in their advertisement. I would purchase again from them.
