Holeshot tuner?

Hello, I'm in FL. till mid April. My rifle with tuner is in Ohio. I want to buy a bloop tube to fit my Holeshot tuner. I contacted KSS and they said any Harrell tuner bloop tube would work. I want to be ready to shoot when I return to Ohio. The question I have is, how does it attach? The picture on their website doesn't show any threads. Does it just press into the tuner? I remember that the part of the tuner that is adjusted has a large fine thread on the inside but is much larger then what I remember the tube being. Thanks in advance,

There are 2 sizes, the larger ones that screw into the outer rim and the smaller bloop tube that screws onto the center of a Harrels.

John, I'm interested in the smaller tube version. I didn't know there were two different threads, so the small tube is threaded internally?

Yes the small one is threaded internally. I don't know if the Stiller Holeshot tuner will accept the small one.

Yes. I was thinking the larger tube as well. Larger tube has external threads and threads on to the larger diameter of the tuner. Smaller tube has internal threads and screws onto the center portion of a Harrels. The holeshot does not have a threaded center part that sticks out. Pictures below.

Harrells (little blurry, but center is threaded on the outside)

Well that's a little disappointing, I was hoping to spend $35 instead of $135, if I'm looking at the right thing. I guess I'll wait till I get home and decide. It's just that at the end of last year some of the guys I shoot with got BT's and said it helped.

I hate to say it, but saying and seeing is two different things. if you saw it helped that is one thing, like scores were up or X counts

That’s what I’m talking about. I’m talking about some of our best club shooters. I realize that some say yes and others say no. I’m willing to try it for myself. I appreciate all the input.

I put a ProX tuner on my V-22S's Shilen ratchet in R5 contour right after I'd completed the bbl work. Shot the rifle with and w/o the tuner, there's no question that the tuner helped shrink groups considerably. So, a month later, I ordered another ProX for my oldest V-22 repeater. Where I'd gotten a 1" bushing with the one for the V-22S's 25" Shilen, this time I ordered a 3/4" bushing to work with the repeater's 22" Krieger (actually, it's .40" under 22" since I cut the suppressor threads off before mounting the ProX). Even though this repeater has been a very accurate rifle in the past, the tuner again tightened groups considerably.

It's been a tough spring for tuning, as the number of days with really nice conditions have been few & far between (would be nice to have a tunnel to shoot in, or access to a good indoor 50yd range). Hopefully, I'll have some time the next good day we get, and will be able to get in more shooting with both these rifles.

ETA: I used the Purdy method to calculate an initial setting for these tuners on both rifles, and feel it got me pretty close - close enough to recommend it to anyone setting up a 22RF rifle with a ProX tuner.

Glad to hear the positive reports. i just got my 24" Ratchet back from Jelrod and have a ProX and Harrell's so I can make a comparison. I really like the precise measurements provided with the ProX. There is no question where to start with and possibly end up with a tune.
Have you tried any other tuners to compare with?
I think it was you who mentioned Jelrod on another forum. He does great work. I also have a 22" Krieger he chambered and a now 19.75" GM that started out as a horror story. He just rechambered the GM. I had a 52D chamber but l think it will do better now with basically the same chamber but with less engraving (following some advice from Kevin Nevius) and a 1 1/2 degree leade.
I just got another Shilen that will be 26". I just need to decide on a chamber.
