Bought one and couldn't get it to seat all the way down my action would only go down half way It was an aluminum bedded stock so I traded it for one with pillars same problem the rifle is a 6.5x06 standard barreled action, Sporter barrel My action has a tapered recoil lug should I change that? at my ropes end

I have one I bought new. I had to remove material to seat the barreled action. About like fitting a wood stock, they are probably not 100% drop in ready.

I just bought one for a savage build and my stock is loose on receiver, I don't have to worry about freefloat on the barrel either.
