Hodgon Superformance?

Just down the page a bit it was talked about-other hodgdon powders
Have tried it in .300WSM. Nothing magical in my loads. Have not tried it in the 6.5x55. Try some Norma MRP if you want to try something different. Accurate and fast. Bet it would also work in the .260 but H4350 works so well there is no reason to change.

It meters well and works in 6mm rem. Its got a very narrow window on where it works that same bullet in a 243 looked like a shotgun and never even showed progress no matter what i did. 22-250 same thing. Its not the powder they use in superformance ammo which does shoot well for factory fodder

I bought 3 pounds back during the shortage. I can't remember what all I tried it in. I just remember it wouldn't shoot. I still have about 2 3/4 pounds left.

It's showed promise in my sons 22-250ai under 70 berger vlds, in forming loads.

I also have a friend that swears by the stuff for his 6.5 creed under 140s of some sort.

Thanks all for good info. On the burning rate chart I thought it might be good because it falls between H4831 and Re22 but sounds like it's pretty fussy to get to work.

I have a Savage action with a Shilen 8 twist 22-250 and a Savage model 11 in 243 and they both love the Super P. I shoot 75 amax in the first a and 105's in the second. The 22-250 shoots 3400 FPS with no signs of over pressure and the 243 shoots 3000 FPS. Accuracy has been good.

Highest velocity and accurate in my 6mm Rem behind Speer 70-gr TNT.

I purchased a pound to try through my 260 Rem when supplies were tight. I couldn't get it to group very well at all; I've still got 3/4ths of a LB left.

I have shot some great groups in a Savage 22-250 1:9 using the Hornady 75 gr BTHP out to 600 yards. 3"-4" 5 shot groups @ 600 yds. Very fast compared to other powders. Haven't chroned yet but by flatter trajectory appears to be 3400 fps+. Also my 6.5 Super AR 10 has shot its best groups with this powder and appears to be the fastest load in this gun as well. So a 260 Remington should work great using this powder. JP Enterprises recommends Superformance in the 6.5 Creedmoor and 260 Remington in an AR platform. He recommends a Fed 215 M primer also. I used Remington 9 1/2 Magnum primers and CCI 250 in both my guns.
