Hodgdon Hybrid 100V

Thinking of burning some Hodgdon Hybrid100V behind 112gr Barns Match burners ,anyone have experience with this powder ? ADG Brass and Fed 210M primers ,26"bbl 7.5 twist.

Kinda an oddity - like RL-17: in an application where, it works, H100V works wonders, producing both excellent precision and velocity. In some applications, it has proven a ho-hummer on the velocity, but still very pleasing groups - "Ya gotta try it and see!" ;)RG

With the 243 and heavy bullets the more slower the more better.
Powder burn rate that is.

Will they work with Hybrid 100V? Yes.
Accurately? Who knows.
Only by shooting them can you tell if that combination is acceptable to you. Qind kicks my A$$

Tried H100V in my 270 Win and couldn't get it to work properly. The accuracy just wasn't there (in my rifle), but it worked great in my 7/08 with the 145 Speer SBT. I found it to be about a grain or two faster than StaBall 6.5 and in the same burn range of WW760/H414. Velocity was on par with 760 and a bit slower than StaBal. JME

I haven't shot the Match Burners but I have used the 115 DTACs over 100V in the 6mm Creedmoor with good results. It's a cooler burning powder so it doesn't yield as much velocity as other powders but it's a little easier on barrels.

I've found that it usually will give most cartridges a little more velocity than other powders..
It did with my 7 MM SAUM's and my improved....

How is its temp stability?

I'm a poor example of Temperature Stability simply because of the fairly compact range of my temperature shifts. I'm at about 6,000 ft. and surrounded by mountain ranges in the distance. Our little bowl of desert remains in about two temperature ranges throughout the year with few aberrations. I have hunted up in the northern snowy region and the southern desert region but only needed minor adjustments (scope) for cold and hot weather. In essence, this powder performs well insofar as Temperature Stability for my needs.
