Hodgdon Hybrid 100V and 6.5x55

Does anyone have any experience with Hybrid 100V and Swede loads for 139-142 weight bullets in a modern action? I'm curious as to its performance in contrast to H4350.

Not experience in a 6.5 but in my 7x57 I bought a pound to try in the gun. Ended up shoot pretty damn good so I went out and bought an 8 pound keg and it all went to hell. That's been my experience with 100V. Great velocities but not great precision.

Gave a lb of Hybrid 100V to a range buddy thats quite a serious shooter/reloader to try, who used it in a 7x57 and was impressed with groups he shot. Works well in my 7x57 too.

As to in a 6.5x55 rifle, have one built on a Stevens 200 with a Shaw heavy magnum contour barrel with a 1-9" twist that shoots pretty decent groups with slower powders like RL22 or Ramshot Magnum. Checked my load book and found some decent groups (1/2-3/4") shot with Hybrid and 123 gr bullets. But with 140gr bullets, my 100 yd groups were poor, basically around 1"-1 1/2". Don't use H4350 much in my 6.5x55, but for me it did work better than Hybrid. Odd to me, as the H100V is just a little slower than H4350.

I shoot a modified 6.5x55 Swede called the GWI. In 3 different bbls. it seems to like H-4831sc a LOT! My shooting partner and I had identical bbls. cut from the same bar of steel and obviously the same mfg. The only difference is he shoots a Savage action and I shoot a BB Kelbly Panda. Our max accurate loads are about 1.2gr. difference. My last lot of this powder was giving me between 3,070 and 3,100 fps depending on the day. My current lot is running around 3,000 fps. at the same charge, but the accuracy is equal.
