Who makes the right sized 50 round boxes? Mine are those non user friendly with a stiff 1 piece hinge.
thanks and happy ''hump day''

MTM Case-Gard 50...much better than one piece hinge. Both of these will work with 6PPC and 30BR

I know the boxes you're after. No formed hinge, but an actual hinge that allows the box lid to lay flat on the bench. Berry's Boxes are the ticket for exactly what you're after. I use them now for all my handloads, they stack nicely too.

The box shown is their #005, perfect for the 221FB/20VT case, not sure what number you'll need for the 6PPC though.

The other thing I like about the Berry's Box is that for short cases, enough of the case sticks up enough so that you can grab empties out of the box, instead of the case mouth being below the partitions as with all the others I've tried like the MTM line. I gave up on all the other brands with the formed hinge that NEVER lays flat. HTH

This has been posted on the bulletin a few times. Where you guys been ?? hahhahaha just kidding !!

Anyway, take some music wire and bend it as shown in the pic so that it holds the lid open flat. I invented this after dumping out my cartridges one too many times. Works great. You store the clip in the box. That's 1/16" music wire which I had on hand and it's about ideal.

And if you'll cut a piece of foam to size for the lid, the empties will stay in their cozy little dens.
Ray jay, I invented and patented the little wire idea. The lawyer was so expensive and sales slow to the point I had to charge $5.00 for a blister pack of two.

For the price MidSouth Shooter's Supply makes nice boxes with hinges. MTM's are nice but cost more. I had a Berry's box that dried out and fell apart after a few years. It was clean if that makes any difference.

hrlincoln is correct. Those boxes are perfect. High enough that they close and latch with 6mmBR or Dasher rounds with long bullets. The partition walls are high enough that if the case is dropped the empties stay in the right place. Note that the RS-S-50 is different from the RS-50.

Only loading half a box? Come to think of it, I might have one of those little half boxes at home...must be stuck behind all those FULL size boxes of ammo.:D

Wifey only lets me load 50 at a time.;) Beside that 4 - 50 round boxes just fit in my range box. 2 ppc and 2 30br. regards Link
