Highest BC bullet one can load to mag length in a 243 wssm?

Quod Erat Demonstrandum
I recently purchased a 243 WSSM Dtech ar-15 upper with a 22" 1:8" twist Shilen select match medium contour barrel. I've tested 95gr Sierra MK bullets loaded to 2.289" (max length in SS magazine) and got good results. Anyone figure out if there are any higher BC bullets that can be loaded to mag length? The Berger 105gr hybrid's shape/length don't seem to permit mag length loading. BTW, the Shilen barrel is amazing, even on an AR. Thanks in advance for the help.

I just got an email from Midway that they have Winchester 243 WSSM brass on sale for $.54 each (in stock), if you need brass. I still get WSSM alerts from them because I once reloaded for a 300 WSSM AR. They also have Hornady brass in stock but for a buck a piece. Even though I parted ways with my 300 years ago, I still follow the WSSM calibers. Its an addiction you cant shake. Being able to throw a 30 cal 150gr pill from an AR 15 at 3k fps was a trip. With the muzzle brake, it turned heads up and down the firing line. LOL

Thanks for the heads-up. Nice to know that brass is getting more available. Added a few more bags to my stock. Might make it a little easier to sell the "surplus" 223WSSM rifle that I really don't need. Bought a couple used ones with the wild idea of using on an antelope or deer hunt in Wyoming. Not fast enough twist in the factory barrels to shoot the 69 and 70 grainers that I wanted to shoot but they do shoot the 65 grain Sierras quite well so I don't need two of them. Just too hot for 55 grainers to use on prairie dogs, but would really do a nice job as accuracy with the 55's was impressive.

The old 105 A-Max works well at mag length. The new 108 ELD would also.
On some of my mags I cut out the front part of the mag so I could load longer on the SMK and VLD’s.

Thanks for the info. I loaded up some 95gr TMKs which seem to offer a good compromise of BC and speed. I'll probably Dremel one of my mags to see if I can use a longer COL.
