High End Tactical Scopes: East vs West

Schmidt & Bender PMII would be a high end tactical scope that was not in the article, and IMHO is at the top. But that being said, a good article you posted. :)

I really wasn't trying to cover all high end tactical scopes. I wanted to bring together reasonable samples of Euro and Japanese tactical scope to see how they compare.

That having been said, there has been enough interest in this article, that I am putting together a follow-up that will likely include other high end tactical scopes. I am now in the process of figuring out what I can get my hands on.

I would like to see how the Burris xtr 6-24x50 compares have had my eye on one.

Burris XTR is a decent scope, but it is not quite in the same league as most of the scopes in that article (nor is it intended to be, since it is cheaper).

Optically, it is somewhat similar to Elite 4200 and Vortex Viper. Personally, with the XTR line-up, I tend to prefer the lower magnification models. If you really need high magnification in this price range, SIghtron S3 is probably a better way to go. I am also not a big fan of Mil reticle with MOA knobs (just personal preference) on the Burris.
