Hickory Groundhog Shoot

Anyone going this year? I'll be down there practicing tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be terribly windy but it is the only day I have.

It amazes me how secretive the shoot is on the internet, almost no info to be found. It's a lot of fun though.

Man, I should really feel guilty about living about 15 mins from Larry and I have only shot it once! But then, its just not my type of shooting competition and I almost always have a big match at Butner that weekend. But, the time I did shoot it, I had a blast though.

And, I guess Larry doesnt need it posted on the net when he has enough folks there every year to fill it up anyhow! Yall have fun, be safe and be sure to kill a lot of little ground hogs...dang pests!

Please post more info on this! I live 10min. south of High Rock lake! 25min. South of Lexington. I use to shoot at a public range in rutherford. I think that is how it is spelled. This was back in 99 or 2000. I drove back up there last summer and the range was closed down! A old man ran it and only charged 5 dollars per gun! Anyway I would like to find a range private or public to shoot long range again! I Currently have a place to shoot not 5min from the house. It's on my uncles land and it is a clear cut. I can get 600yrds now, but give it another 2 to 4 years and it will be grown up too much to even get a 100yrds! Thanks in advance for any info you guy's can give on this shoot, or a private club with long range!?

FYI, if you have certain Garmin GPS units that address will not work.

The numbers should work, but the address might not. My vehicle GPS won't accept gps coordinates, addresses only.
