Henry Golden Boy engraved receiver, any experience with them?

Before my dad died, he acquired 2 Henry rifles with the intent of buying the engraved receivers that Henry sells and giving them to my kids when they got older. He ran out of time before he got it done, but I thought I would go ahead and do it like he had planned. I just wondered if anyone had actual experience with them and if they are really any good or not.

Depending on the ones he bought it should be really easy. You just order the engraving that you want and they send you a new side plate that is engraved and you replace the one that is on the gun currently. Very good company and easy people to work with.

Yea, I looked at how to do it and it seems easy enough. I was wondering what kind of quality to expect from Henry's engraving.

Honestly all the ones I have seen where nice (not thousands of dollars nice) but very good for what they cost. I don't think you will be disappointed and the kids can always take the side plate off and use the original if they wanna take the gun out and shoot it. I have a bunch of the Henrys and for the price and overall I think they are great. Still looking for a 44-40 deluxe though.
