I pulled the trigger on the above rifle. Unfortunately, the display model was the only one they had, and I had driven 1.5 hours. Of course, it was all smudged up. I'm hoping I will be able to shine up the brass again. I'm looking at good ole Brasso to do the job. However, I am open to trying other products. Help!

There better products than “Brasso” which is an ammonia based cleaner and anything left in a crevice will soon show green/blue corrosion… “Magic Wadding” was something I used years ago, came in a can and was treated cotton batting.
There is also specialist lacquer spray to preserve polished brass and copper items that I found at an “Arts & Craft store and used on the brass bezel and other features of an antique clock I restored. The finish has never tarnished over more than 15 years.
