Help with what Rifle to get

Hi all this is my first post, I'm a comp, shooter service rifle trying to leg out with a NM M14, I would like to get a match rifle for XTC and long range, Long Range mostly.
I was looking at the Savage site The long range rifles are single shot, I need the five shoot mag, what would you all suggest?

When it comes to bolt guns and XTC I prejudiced to the Winchester Model 70, preferrably pre-64 types. Shop around the various sites and post WTB ads for a good deal. Good luck with the Leg.

Go to www.competitionshootingstuff.com for the Ellisio tube gun. Comes with magazines and all stock pieces to turn a Remington (or clone) action into a good XTC/ Long Range rifle. If you are shooting an AR you will transition to it well and is very cost effective. The owner of the company beats my bottom (and most others as well) on a regular basis.
Beyond that you should have a rifle built or build one yourself. Bell & Carlson make a good adjustable target stock for Remington 700 actions (or clones). Master Class Stocks and McGee Stocks are other options. Frankly if I were in your shoes I would look for a used rifle as they will be much more cost effective for you. In addition to this site try

Thanks for info, I think after looking around I want to go with a strictly a long range rifle 308.
Were to start?
I like to compete So help me out with links of some builders and were to and how to do this?
Receivers, stocks, I would really like to know about the Sights, very foreign to me, Any info or links, I will appreciate it.
