Hello. I have done some rimfire and service rifle shooting in the past but am now wanting to get into shooting with a scope since my eyes are becoming a pain. I have some friends that do some long range 300 to 1000 yds contests both tactical and f t/r type. I bought a used 308 5r milspec 24 inch barrel in a choate tactical stock. I find the choate just not at all comfortable for a grip. So i am lookinf for a new stock. I will probably do more f t/r but want to be able to do a tactical match once in a while with some other friends. I will want a DBM for that. I realize a compromise means not the best at each but for now it will have to do. I have handled a XLR and Manners T4A and both felt good. I see Mcree has good reviews and actually looks alot like Dolphin f t/r stocks. I am used to an AR style grip and would like to keep the stock price down as much as possible since I have also started to learn to reload. Any ideas and opinions would be great. I have done a lot of research but most seems to be related to the tactical side and not not much chassis use for f t/r.
Thanks
Mark
