Help with info on Llama revolver

I know this doesn't really have anything to do with accurate shooting but I cant seem to find any info on this old gun. It is a Llama and i believe it is a Comanche in 22lr. Dont really care about value since I'm not in it too much . Im not much on those pimp pearl grips either lol . Just looking for some history or info and I figure with such great cache of knowledge on this site someone will know something . Thanks
Josh

I had one many years ago (walnut grips) and only kept it two days. Cylinder timing was very poor and caused major lead spitting as well as placing most bullets sidewise through the target at 10 feet...assuming they even hit the target. Dealer took it back without a problem. Llama had very spotty QA during that time, especially with their revolvers. Their 1911 clones were either very good or terrible depending on luck. I had one of their .45 ACP 1911s that was near-match accuracy but saw many that barely cycled. Friend still has one of their .380 ACP mini 1911s that is amazingly accurate and reliable for its size.

The quality of Llama revolvers was not good, but with a little work they can usually be made to function safely. It's kind of a clone of a really early S&W, done by memory so none of the parts interchange. Kinda like someone saw an exploded diagram and thought, "How hard can it be?" I really liked their mini "1911"s. Again, rough quality but really unique. I had one in .22 briefly. It looked kind of like an 80% scale model of a 1911 at first glance. The action was straight blowback, so it was different internally, but they had the look right.

Ive read about the timing issues and most seem to say you either have a good or bad one .I know the timing on this one locks way before hammer is back. Ive seen the blued ones but had no idea on this one whether it was plated or what .

How does it shoot? Accuracy, function.

Chrome finish and engraving options were available. See above link.

The 1983 blue book has it listed. $308.95 new. Then used prices based on condition. BB used pricing was a joke. They just cut the retail price in half for a used gun in excellent condition.

Nice copy of a S&W with a coil spring , instead of the Smith flat spring.20181120_110518.jpg

A S&W M17 22 lr , in the same time period, listed for $ 283.50 new.

I have one and it shoots very well. Never had a problem with it either. Look at the old Stoger's catalog for information.

Shoots ok . I have had zero problems with it thus far. The right side frame cover seems to be a slightly different shade than than the rest of the gun .
