I've been playing around with a fairly new Sendero II in 300 RUM using H-1000 and 200 grain Accubonds. The gun has quite a lot of freebore so I've been loading max published loads of 92.0 to mag length (3.600) and getting 3050 fps. Accuracy is halfway decent but nothing to write home about. I went back through the work up loads seating the AB's .020 off the lands and single feeding. Wow! Accuracy is in the .1's. Now, the velocity is a little scary, it's 3140 with an ES of 18 at the published max of 92.0 grains. For now I can live with the ES and hopefully tighten it up later, but what do you guys think about the velocity. It's a trusted reading. Has anyone else attained 3140 fps from H-1000 using 200 AB's? Pressure signs are acceptable. No primer flattening, slight and I mean very slight plunger mark on base of head, primers may have raised very slightly, .004 or so. Any advice? Does it sound safe?
