I have a stiller tac 30 action, pierced a primer today. Didnt notice until I loaded the next round, had a light strike, failure to fire and had to hammer on the bolt to get it open. Now the bolt wont cock, obviously damaged something in there. I can turn the bolt shroud with a glove on with some effort, something is definitely up.
Anyone care to venture what might be happening?
Ive never stripped a rem bolt before, are there any special tools that I need to get?
Seems like if its a spring or something along those lines I should just be able to drop one in, but can just as easily drop it by my smith. I JUST got the rifle back today from some other work, so would really love to fix this myself if possible instead of waiting weeks. safety first though, but wanted to post this to see if I can get some advice.
thanks in advance!
