HELP PLEASE, Quick Load. 7mmSAUM Load

Task: Help to find suitable powder, using Quick Loads.

Load develop for 7mmSAUM, Berger 180 Hybrie out of 32", 1-9 ans 1-8.5 twist barrel doing 2850fps.

Many thanks.

You asked for something that doesn't belong to you, out of the goodness of someone else's heart.

You either can't afford QuickLoad, or, worse, don't think you need to buy it to get the benefit of it, when you can just come here, beg, (in all caps, no less) and get a free cup of answers.

That's begging.

Have some pride, be a man. Pay your own way.

Not off quickload but I know that 4831sc and h-1000 are both great powders for the 180's. Just recently I built a load for my cousins 7saum with 180 hybrids and 4831sc. 26" barrel and it shot really well. I do believe with your longer barrel I would really try the h-1000. Not sayin you will but possibly be able to get close to 3000fps mark. I'm not able to tell you a good place to start with either powder without knowing your oal.

I can run QL for you when I get home from work. Only thing is that I have not updated my QL lately so it will not won't able to get data for some of the newer powders like RL-23/26/33.

I'm at work for the next 12 hours so be patient.

I do need to know what C.O.A.L. you'll be loading at.

I like the forum Police on Quick Load, they make me laugh.... I am going out of town right now to a shoot and will not be home till Monday morning. If you do not get your info you need I'll be glad to help you. A little more info would definitely help to get it closer, bullet length, case length, oal, case H2o capacity if you have it.

My 30" 7saum liked H1000 with the 180 JLK.

Some of the QL predictions...

Here I used a 3.00" coal and got it to show powder charge weights that generate 63,000 psi, and don't exceed 107% case fill. And 32" barrel.

Nik the most popular powders used by the better 7 SAUM FO shooters here in the USA with the 180 Hybrid are H-4350 which is the ADI (AR220) and H-34831sc (AR2213sc) both made in Australia. These I would think would be available to you. Maybe not the highest velocity but good consistent accuracy.

I agree, H-4831/H4831sc would be my top pick. It pretty much guarantees superb accuracy.

In case you're wondering...

57 gr of H-4831 / 4831sc would make 2,863 fps from your 32" bbl @ 55,000 psi with the 3.00" coal

60 gr of H-4831 = 65,000 psi, 3,001 fps.

No matter what any manual or software says is safe, only your firearm and the components your using will tell you the real truth. Working up a load is all part of the fun anyways.

Sir, I don't have access to my round right now, so won't be able to provide COAL. Your help is very much appreciated just the same .

No problem, anytime. Feel free to PM me if you have any other Quickload requests.

I however don't fit the description of a "Sir" :D I'm not even a Brit ! (thank goodness) just kidding
