HELP! PAS SLV Mag Scope Base

Does anyone with some "world experience"(age) remember what one piece base may fit this action?

I currently have two Remington 700 front bases on the action, and they work but I would like to go to a Talley or Seekins style rail. From what I know this action is a CPS/PAS/Time Precision action and they should all be the same?

I am aware that Murphy Precision makes a base for this action, but I am unsure if that is an investment I would want to make at this time if there is a more readily available solution.

So many questions, so little time!

Thanks in advance

So....you're wanting a one piece Picatinny rail?
That is the goal, yes. It's a struggle to find information on these actions in general. I know it was a 1-13" twist 270AI when I acquired it, but it is transitioning to a Dasher currently. But what I am also unsure of is if Long action was standard or not.

All you really need to know to get one made is how long you want the base to be, the screw hole spacing and action diameter...should be 1.350" if 700 front bases fit. Universal Picatinny rails are widely available.

The other possibility is using the base for a Kelbly Atlas and repositioning the holes as needed. The Atlas uses 8-40 screws so if your action is 6-48, it's a good time to update.

If you have to pay to have this done, the Murphy starts to look better price wise.

You could also find a 700 rail that has a long-ish front section, buy two, and chop off what you don't need for a longer two piece setup.

Just some thunks on it....-Al
