Help, new timney trigger hitting trigger guard.

Purchased a new Timney hit trigger to replace a junky xmark pro on a rem 700. Timney went in nice, but when I tightened the action screws to only 30 in lbs & seems the trigger is hitting the bottom of trigger guard. I stopped at 30 just to check everything before I tightened screws more. Anyone have any suggestions. This is a 222 with a new bartlein barrel. Don't know what to do.

Shim the trigger guard or shorten the trigger lever.

Shimmed it. Have about 1/16th" clearance now. Good to go. Many thanks to all.
