Help needed to select some scope rings that will raise the scope so my ear protectionwill not contac

My present set up is: Remington 700 6PPC
Weaver 2 piece bases
Leupold 36X
Burris 1" high rings with inserts
I can't get comfortable on the rifle without ear muffs contacting the top of the stock comb. I would like to use the present Burris rings with higher bases or a spacer of some sort. Thanks Boyd Allen for helping me, but would like to hear from others that might have had similar situation.

I can't get comfortable on a high comb stock with ear muffs. don't have a solution except to do without muffs, and use plugs in the ear canal.
I had a set of muffs that were thinner at the bottom, but lost them. I just looked at Midway and Graf's and didn't see the type that are thinner at the bottom.

Look into a set of off-set rings. I use them on my ppc's and they work out well.. www.pmatool.com .........Happy Shooting

Rick
Hey Rick
Thank you for your reply. Yes, think I’ll call Harrells’s and see what they might suggest. I’ve heard good comments in dealings with the Harrell brothers. I see they have offset rings, a little pricey but high quality provider of shooting accessories. I’ll also check platoon.com. Stay well during these very unusual times.

Replacing the Weaver mounts with an EGW one-piece base with the same rings would raise it up quite a bit. I use EGW bases routinely.

I use custom made plugs. Not sure who does them in the US. I suggest contacting some pistol guys, who seem to use them most of the time

I use these and just flip the mic to the top they will unsnap from the head band.
