HELP! K&M Force Pack for arbor press

I would like to upgrade my standard K&M arbor press with the force pack indicator.
May I use a standard 0.001” K&M dial indicator supplied with the neck turning tool or I need to buy the modified dial indicator DI50?

Somewhere I saw that a person stated that so many .000's = a certain amount of pressure. May try to google that. On using your indicator I would give them a call and please post what you find out I would like to do the same.

.001 is .001 no matter the name on the indicator. Mountings are pretty standard also. It would not hurt to call but I am 99.9 % sure there would be no problem. I have 2 brands on my bench and both have a 3/8 dia bayonet on the bottom and a lug on the back for a 1/4 rod, bolt etc

I don't know if it's a special indicator or not. I do know we tested a 21st Century and a K&M on a load cell. The one was like one pound low and the other was like one pound high. So they were both pretty close to reading in pounds. Matt

I went digital for easing the eyes, you can find a nice Fowler Precision for around 150 over at MSC and the even th Ebay Chinese stuff is plenty good enough for our needs. I will bet a six pack of adult beverage these press manufacturers are not making their own indicators and they are not buying Staretts or Mitutoyo's to rebrand.
