Help interpret my ladder test.

Shilen barreled Rem 700 25-06, 10.5 twist. Unknown round count but I have put about 500 through it. I had good luck with 110 Accubonds but they are impossible to find. 110 ELD-X are a no go. Found some Sierra 100s in my stash. Somehow the graph X axis went wonky. Starting charge was 52 grain and increased by .5. Rounds 3-8 went in to .95 inches ( .46 MOA) but would have been tighter but I pushed #6 left a tad.

Components are scarce.

I would retest 6 thru 8. Whatever those charges were. But use .3 grain steps.... Shot 7 in my opinion was at or near the top of a node. Doing a finer test will narrow it down..

Just FYI I am not good at this stuff still learning..

I would load in between 55.5gr and 56.0, i.e. 3 @ 55.7 and 55.9

The node from the target should be between loads for 4 and 6. I don’t care about what the chronograph says for one shot. As noted above you should use 0.3gr increments.

1st off, I don't take much stock in 1 shot ladders or chronograph #'s during initial load work
Load 3 rounds each in .1 increments between 55 and 55.5 gr.
Color each set of 3 with a different color sharpie from ogive to tip staying off bearing surface.
1 point of aim dial scope to hit clean paper,
Shoot at distance.
300 yard test target

Now go back and load the charge that stands out for confirmation and a chronograph report.
I chose 56gr.

So why 5 groups all at one target with colored bullets? Couldn't you get the same info shooting at a separate target for each load?

Thanks for the input to those that responded. I'm just trying to get this old girl back into the field with minimum use of resources. As I mentioned in my initial post, components are scarce. I don't need competition accuracy, just a reliable doe death ray out to 350 yards or so. The gun has been superb for years but I let my stock of loaded ammo dwindle without replacing bullets. When I needed them, no 110 Accubonds could be found. That was back in the spring before the current nightmare we live under and I still cannot find them. I thought the 110 Hornady ELD-X bullets would be a good substitute but the gun just does not like them.

I loaded up 3 five shot loads @ 55, 55.3, 55.6. Will get out in the next week or so to see what those do.

Yes sir, you can shoot them at individual targets. Like a OCW format, line spots horizontally for ease of reading.
The picture above is a new method for me that I'm preferring over OCW, and why I don't take stock in 1 shot ladders or the Satterlee method using chronograph #'s.
By using 1 spot you can clearly see how the load is responding in testing to increases in charge, change in primer, seating depth, and neck tension.

1 shot ladders/Satterlee just dont give enough information.
Notice how a shot from a lower charge weight overlaps/groups with a shot from the charge above it?
So would that 1 shot be the shot that prints high or low?

Now back to your original question to reading the ladder.....
Every shot would've killed what you were looking at.
Given scarcity of components and reading information provided with my limited knowledge

yeah i do mine like yours and find it gives a better result
my pic is of my fine tuning at 400m after full ladder test ...not sure what was going on with my labradar but last shots it was 30fps faster ??

I have not done a ladder test in 18 years.

For what it's worth. 25/06 100 grain nosler (partition & ballistic tip) 53.5 grains RL19 very accurate.
