Help ID old barrel, assume military, and made in March 1944

I got a case of these when I bought my lathe and mill from Dan Tyler in Montana, he has since passed away. Anyway I have a case of these barrels, in old wood crate. Some of these have never been out of the cloth and still packed with original grease, some have been removed and put back in, and one is cleaned up. These are new.

Help ID these, I'm going to be putting them up for sale and just want an honest price, not looking to gouge anyone but these need to get to a good home.

Thanks
Chris

They look like 1903 a3 barrels from what I can see. NOS barrels like those are getting harder to find I would be interested in one once you decide on a price pm me

Is the box just a wooden box or is does it have arsenal markings? I'd be interested in an arsenal box, I'm a 1903 tinkerer
