I have a couple thousand LC 223 cases that have been shot through a Wilson Wylde chambered barrel. I had the upper re barreled and it has a tighter chamber. When I full length re size these 3rd fired cases they will not chamber in the new barrel or another brand new upper that I have. The problem area is just below where my dies stop, About half way up the web the cases are over-sized so I bought a set of small base dies and still have the same problem.
My load is 24.5gr of varget behind a 77gr SMK and the primers look great, I would like to get 5 loadings out of these cases.
Why are these cases over-sized in the web area?
What am I overlooking?
Shouldn't I be able to get five loads out of these cases.
I have never had a case separation and blown primers are very rare.
Thanks
Steven
