Help can anyone identify these bullets??!!

These bullets came with a rifle I bought but the owner is not sure what they were.
Dia. 6.5
Weight is 140
VLD style bullet
As you can see in the pics the base of the bullet has a divot in it that could hold a bb.
The boat tail is what I think is called truncated (right at the start of the bt and the full dia. of the bullet you can feel a line or a bump with the bt part being smaller in dia.)
Any help would be appreciated.

When I weighed 40 of these bullets they were from 139.97-140.12 with 90% of them being 140.04-140.06.

I also measured base of bullet to ogive with a Sinclair nut and they were all within .003.

Those bullets are JLK's. Swampy sells in 150 count boxes and the stock number tells the tale. 26 cal. 140 gr.

They could be oldies. I sent a few boxes of 175 GR 7MM bullets to Kevin Thomas a couple of years ago. He was quite surprised. He didn't realize LAPUA produced those in 7MM.

Edit: I pulled out my JLK 140s to check the boat tail. They are NOT rebated.

Without doing a search, Didn't Herter's make something similar? If I remember correctly it was called, "wasp"???

I think the herters were a dual dia bullet , at the time the 6.5 had non std bore . Mostly military , .264- .268 . But my memory stinks .

The Herters "Wasp Waist" bullets were just that. Think of a woman wearing a tight waisted corset.

It appears there might be two different .264 140 grain JLK bullets. The base on mine are flat. The number on the boxes is 26140.

They are looking like they are JLKs. Not all the measurements work out correctly taken from his website. Im going to give him a call tomorrow and see what he has to say. Thanks to all and if anyone has more info i will forsure check it out because they shoot under .3 at 200 yds.

JG, Those are absolutely JLK bullets. I have several boxes that are IDENTICAL to the picture you posted right down to the scotch tape and purple marking pen #s. (And no label). They were given to me by my Gunsmith whom I would trust with my life and were represented as JLK's. They also shoot well out of my 6.5/284.

The current 140 jlks have a tiny dimple in the base, but otherwise look just like the one you pictured. Mini rebate and all.

Did Swampy confirm they are his? I use JLKs 140s in my 6.5-284 also and they work great. I don't have them in hand right now and the wife is asleep where they are at but I also have some 140 Clinch rivers that look close. If Swampy doesn't come up with a confirmation get his bullets any way cause they don't make Clinch Rivers anymore.
