hi there ive been loading 223 for a while now with good results . 137 foxes last year, each one went down with the first shot .i loaded 55 gn ballistic tip over 22.5 gn of h322 up to 26.5 gn in .5 incraments and when fired over a chrono and averaged the groupe size i settled on 24.5 gn which ave muzzle vel spread of 19 fps and muzz vel of 3220 with a group of .35" at 100yds, all well and good .
now ive started to load 308 for fox deer and the odd outing at the range, im using the same theory to find a load and have fillad 50 cases with cci primers 150 gn lapua scenar and 41 gn varget to 45.5 gn in again .5 incraments 15 thou off the lands what i dont know is what the ideal range is,minimum) to test the ammo for group, or at what range the bullet has stabalised enough to measure, one other thing dose anyone know how long i should take over shooting 50 rnds without affecting groupe size.
