Heavy cock-on-opening

I just started load development on a Christensen Ridgeline and have found it has a very hard bolt lift on opening. I realize part of that is cocking and I lubed the cocking ramp, with no reduction. I even put a little grease on front of lug recess, after cleaning, and I always put a light smear on bolt lugs.

I have 100 rds thru it now, with no improvement. It's equally heavy, with fired round or empty chamber.

What am I missing?

Hey Alex, it's got a Christensen label, but have no idea who made it. A 700 clone?
Hoping you were around.

Theres plenty of possible issues. Does it still lift hard with the trigger removed? Most likely Id have to see it.

This may be TOTALY wrong....no one has ever told me to do it, but , if it is rem clone and the firing pin is installed by screwing it into the bolt body like a 700, then take it apart and put a dab of bolt grease on the threads between the bolt body and the firing pin. It worked on my REM's.....one finger bolt lift on fired cases.

If it is a FUBAR recomendation then someone will flame me for it. BUT...I know that it helped!! I was told to ALWAYS grease the bolt lugs...never the threads.

Yes, I double checked the threads, they're GTG. Everything that takes grease, has got it. Gonna pull trigger tomorrow, as Alex suggested, and check everything else one more time.
Primary extraction looks good. Just too tired tonight.

I've seen a few of those. It seems they use a main spring in them that would support a Peterbuilt. I didn't take them apart but they were all the same. I'm I also wouldn't doubt the cocking ramp is less than well thought out.

Update
I had to go out of town for a few days, so I'll wait til I get back to examine my problem closer. I did learn this action has a 32# main spring, so when I get home, I'll put in a 28#. My visual inspection (????) showed the cam engagement is lacking, but not bad (I'm certainly no expert). I'm hoping the spring change will help. I bought this rifle for my son, so I need to get it running for his visit in 4 weeks.

I appreciate the suggestions from all.

Not sure that a Heavy Cock-on-Opening is a problem.....it isn’t for me.
