Healthcare over reach!

This thread here is making it seem like healthcare professionals are weaponizing screening questions as a means to invade your personal life and take away your rights and I promise you that is not happening...
Actually there is no question they are attacking gun rights. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), The American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Physicians all have publicly stated they are against owning guns.

Listen, I am with you all completely, I understand where you are coming from. I get asked the same stuff when I have appointments with my child.

As a responsible firearms owner, I as well get annoyed at the question, but I do believe that it is asked in good nature. If there is any sort of weaponization then I have yet to hear or know about it.

If you could cite some sources or links of them being against firearm ownership I would be interested in taking a look.

My father was in practice when this started.

Referances are not hard to find. This should get you started on your research.

These organizations oppose things smoking, heavy alcohol use, drinking and driving, and unsecured firearms. They support things healthy diets, early cancer screening, sunscreen and seatbelt use, and vaccinations. I too am interested in how they intend to facilitate the removal of personal firearms from households.

I looked at the CDC and they in the past were vocally against firearms ownership they have toned down the BS and now have tips on safe storage. The AARP has stated many times gunowners are more likely to get shot then others that have no guns in the home. Braxton if you don't know about this it is because you don't want to know.

Are you really that naive?

After the previous four-years of weaponized DOJ, two-tiered justice, bureaucratic liberal myopia, and anti-2A rhetoric in every level of government, you pretend that you cannot imagine a scenario when these purposely vague questions cannot be used against a person? Last time I checked gun ownership could be removed for "mental health reasons"....... Do you want me to believe that many "mental health reasons" are not subjectively determined and subject to another lawfare travesty? You want me to believe that you cannot imagine a scenario of bureaucratic overreach and retribution?

Of course you can, and of course you are trying to rationalize your OPINION by asking the classic cop out of "citing sources". Why don't you provide a link that convinces me America didn't endure a four year oppressive national embarrassment, and I would be interested in taking a look.

Just because someone asks you if you have a firearm in your home, doesn't mean YOU HAVE TO ANSWER!! ;)
If I walk in the Dr. office with a black eye, the wife hit me while I was sleeping!!:p
Lots of times I get papers to fill out. I hand them back partially filled out and the gals just wink. They know it anyway. Been in my file for the last 30+ years and they know how to get to me if needed.
They DO ask if I ever feel threatened at home? If I did and still live there after 60+ years with the same LADY, I have a problem and maybe it's a little too late to fix it now?? :)
