Headscratchers: Why did a company build this gun?

Had a guy show up at our place to discuss a construction project in a nearby field. Along the way, he described the ranches where he goes to hunt and shoot. I told him I too was a 'gun' guy, and he said "Okay, remind me to show you my '90' when we get back to your house." A while later, we rolled up to the house, he went over to his truck, and then produced this: Arsenal Firearms AF2011-A1

I guess I am not as much of a gun guy as I thought, because I'd never heard of it before, much less seen one. On the other hand, here's a review that might explain why: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/gun-review-arsenal-af2011-a1-double-barrel-45acp/

Now I cannot help but wonder if we should get at least one more quote for our project. If he bought and carries this around... Hmmm.

Some people just like to own something that few have. I just bought an Ashland Smith & Wesson model 60-1 2" .38 Spl. with adjustable sights. One of 660 produced. Certainly am not going to target shoot with a 7 yard belly gun, but I thought it has some Cool Value, so I bought it. (NIB - Old Inventory)

I once witnessed a side by side bolt action in .375 H&H. Two barrels, two bolts, one bolt handle and trigger mechanism (double triggers). I myself have looked at how pump shotguns have pins holding the trigger units in and thought, one right hand one left hand... Hmmm

The local gun range sells and advertises these. I believe you can even rent one to shoot at the range. Not particularly accurate with two bullets flying in close formation. More of a novelty.

He probably thought "my wife is going to waste this much money on a pair of shoes , I will show her!"

it would be a good barrel tester you could find out how they match up they would both be shot in the same conditions and if you pulled a shot they would let you know
