Heading to Raton

Marilyn and I left our driveway at 4:30 this morning, heading for Raton.

I am going to shoot the Group Match Saturday and Sunday, then NBRSA VFS Score Nationals Tuesday and Wednesday.

As important as the shooting is, we really want to relax and enjoy the trip together.

I look forward to seeing a lot of good friends.

I think we stopped at that same rest stop a couple years back! Of course, a lot of them look pretty similar. We find various stops and campgrounds we revisit. By the way, every Texas State Park we have stayed in has been pleasant.
Near Raton, we stay at Sugarite Park, another nice place. WH

I practiced today, and N133 just is not working. Plus, the wind is blowing about 25mph.
The humidity was way down, can’t seem to get the vertical out. On a whim, I did toss an ancient jug of 2015BR in the truck, I can get it kinda shooting with 28.8 grns, but I am not real hopeful.

I ended up doing pretty well with that load. The Rifle shot pretty darned good.

I was 2d in the LV 100 and 6th in the HV 100. We will be moving to 200 yards in the morning.
